Terms and Conditions

Introductory provisions

These terms govern participation in the international dance event Tango Marathon Entre Arcos organized by Tanguera centrum s.r.o. (company ID: 06755984, Raisova 2121/6a, Ostrava). Contact e-mail: marathon@tango-entrearcos.cz

Nature of the event

This is a social and leisure event focused on Argentine tango. The registration fee covers the services listed on the website of the particular edition.

Registration and formation of the contract

Registration is made through an online form. By submitting the registration the participant places a binding order, which is, however, not automatically guaranteed. The contractual relationship arises only upon confirmation by the organizer and payment of the fee. The organizer reserves the right to reject a registration, in particular due to a balanced role ratio or capacity limits.

Price and payment terms

The price follows the current price list. Payment is made by bank transfer (CZK or EUR) and the transfer costs are borne by the participant. Participation is bindingly confirmed only after the payment is credited.

Cancellation terms

Cancellation of participation

Cancellation terms differ by edition of the event. In general: when cancelling by the stated date the participant is entitled to a partial refund; after the deadline the entitlement expires.

Transfer of participation

After the cancellation deadline, a transfer to another person in the same role is possible, subject to approval by the organizer, who may reject it due to disruption of the role ratio or organizational limits.

No-show

In the case of non-attendance without prior cancellation (no-show), the participant is not entitled to a refund of the fee.

Further terms

A refunded amount in EUR may be affected by the exchange rate. Costs of accommodation, transport and other services are not part of the registration fee and are not refunded.

Changes and cancellation of the event

The organizer reserves the right to change the program, venue, date, DJs or other parts of the program. A change of program is not grounds for a refund. In the event of cancellation by the organizer, the fee will be refunded or alternative performance offered.

Withdrawal from the contract

Pursuant to Section 1837(j) of the Czech Civil Code, it is not possible to withdraw without giving a reason within the 14-day period, as this is a leisure-time service provided on a specific date.

Participation at own risk

The participant takes part at their own responsibility. The organizer is not liable for injuries, health complications, loss of or damage to personal belongings.

Rules of participation

The participant undertakes to respect others, to follow the rules of tango and milonga etiquette, and to comply with the organizer's instructions. The organizer reserves the right to exclude a participant without entitlement to a refund in case of inappropriate behavior.

Photo and video documentation

Photographs and video recordings may be taken. By participating in the event the participant consents to their use for the organizer's marketing purposes.

Force majeure

The organizer is not liable for cancellation or restriction of the event due to force majeure (epidemic, intervention by public authorities, unforeseeable obstacles). An alternative solution will be offered.

Communication

Official communication takes place by e-mail: marathon@tango-entrearcos.cz. Communication via social networks is not binding.

Out-of-court dispute resolution

The competent authority is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Praha 2, https://adr.coi.cz) and the platform https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Governing law

Legal relations are governed by the law of the Czech Republic.

Severability of provisions

Any invalidity of a provision shall not affect the validity of the others.

Language versions

These terms may be drawn up in other languages. In the event of a discrepancy, the Czech version prevails.

Final provisions

These terms are effective from 1.1.2026. The organizer reserves the right to amend them.
